What are the timings, when can we get into the Zoo etc?

3pm: Your concert ticket entitles you to free Zoo entry from 3pm. You must have Twilight at Taronga concert tickets for the same day and please note there will be no access to the concert lawn during this time
5pm: Patrons can start queuing in a designated area near the elephant enclosure for entry to the concert lawn. The rest of the Zoo will be closed.
6pm: Concert lawn opens (picnic time)
7:30pm: Concert starts
9:30pm Concert concludes
There will be a 20-min interval

Where do we enter the zoo for the concert?

Entry is only via the top main gate of the zoo. This is situated on Bradleys Head Road, Mosman. Should you arrive by ferry; a bus can take you to the top gate.

Can I bring in my own food & drink?

You can bring your own food to the concert but please note due to liquor licensing considerations you are only permitted to bring in the following alcohol items: 1 bottle of wine per 2 people - 6 pack of beer between 4 people. Please note no spirits or RTD’s are permitted. Bag checks will be conducted from 3pm onwards for concert patrons at the right hand side of the entry point located at the bottom of the stairs from the Top Plaza retail shop.

Will food & drinks be available to purchase?

A wide range of food, alcohol and non alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase from the Zoo food outlets at an affordable price.

Are we allowed to bring chairs to the concert?

Yes, personal chairs are welcome, which are small and ideal for picnics. However the tall director style chairs are restricted to the rear of the lawn.

What are the concert times?

Friday and Saturday night concerts will start at 7:30pm and finish at approximately 9.30pm. Sunday night concerts will start at 6:00pm and finish at approximately 8.00pm.

What happens if it rains? ?

The concert will proceed rain, hail or shine. The stage is fully covered and geared to operate in all weather conditions. The concert lawn however is open-air, so we advise that if you are concerned about the conditions, to please come prepared with wet weather gear, raincoats, ponchos and plastic sheets. Ponchos are also available to purchase from 6pm at the concert. Umbrellas are discouraged as they obstruct the view of the concert for others. A concert will only be cancelled if conditions become unsafe and very extreme. Due to the changeability of weather conditions at this time of year, the decision as to whether or not to cancel may be delayed.

Is there wheelchair access?

Yes, we have wheelchair access to the concert lawns, as well as a shuttle bus which consistently goes back and forth to the concert lawns both before and after the show. There is a designated area on the lawn for those in wheelchairs. All you need to do is notify a zoo staff member and they will organise this for you.

Are there ferries running before and after the show?

Yes, ferries to and from Circular Quay run to the zoo both before and after the concert.
Departing ferries from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo every 1/4 past and 1/4 to the hour (15min trip). A State Transit bus meets all ferries and first stop is the top entrance of the Zoo (STA fee for bus). It is not possible to enter via the lower entrance. Departing ferries from Taronga Zoo to Circular Quay at 9:28pm and 10:28pm on Friday and Saturday nights.

Is there somewhere to park?

Limited parking is available in the Taronga Zoo car park, and it costs $16. There is also street parking some of which is metered by Mosman Council.

What is the best way to get to the zoo?

We advise that you take public transport to save both cost and efficiency. The ferries are frequent, and buses run frequently both before and after the concert towards the city. Should you wish to drive, parking is available in the zoo car park.

Can we purchase tickets at the door?

Tickets are available via Ticketek either online or 132 849. If the concert is not sold out, tickets will be available at the door on the evening of the concert from 5pm.
